CMS compared its own Grade 3 campuses on a common, externally set and marked assessment. The campuses using ALfA outperformed those that did not — and the gap between strongest and weakest narrowed, because the children at the bottom moved the most.

Each Distinction names an educator who changed what schools could be, and recognises a leader who carries that spirit forward. You may put forward up to two fields; a GETI panel reviews your evidence and confers a Distinction only where the evidence supports it. It is recognition, not a certificate of attendance.
